Self Abandonment Assesment

Where Are You Abandoning Yourself?

A free self-discovery assessment

You may know how to care for other people, meet expectations, keep the peace, and handle what needs to be done.

But how often do you remain connected to yourself while doing it?

Self-abandonment does not always look dramatic. It can appear as saying yes before checking what you want, feeling responsible for another person’s emotions, questioning your inner knowing, or postponing your own rest and happiness until everyone else is okay.

Sometimes it goes even deeper. You may have spent so much of your life responding to other people’s needs that you are no longer sure what you want separately from them.

This free assessment can help you recognize where you may be leaving yourself behind and where you already have a strong connection with yourself.

What You Will Discover

The assessment explores seven areas:

  • Knowing what you want

  • Honoring your limits

  • Staying connected to yourself in relationships

  • Trusting what you feel and know

  • Expressing who you are

  • Allowing rest, pleasure, and support

  • Trusting yourself to choose

After completing the assessment, you will receive:

  • Your overall result

  • Your primary self-abandonment pattern

  • Examples of how that pattern may appear in everyday life

  • One small step you can take to begin creating change

This Is About Awareness, Not Judgment

There are no right or wrong answers.

Answer according to what is usually true in your life, rather than what you believe should be true. Your honest responses will make your results more useful.

This assessment is a self-discovery tool. It is not a psychological diagnosis or a substitute for professional medical or mental health care.

How It Works

The assessment includes 38 questions and takes approximately 8 minutes.

You will move through seven short sections. After completing them, enter your email address to receive your personalized results.

Your answers will be used to calculate and email your results. They will be held for 30 days so you have time to decide whether you would like to save them for a future comparison. If you do not choose to save them, they will be deleted automatically.

You Can Begin Returning to Yourself

You do not have to know exactly what you want before you begin.

Sometimes the first step is simply recognizing the moments when you automatically leave yourself and turn toward what everyone else needs, expects, or approves of.

This assessment can help you notice those moments.
